Talking Dads Conference Blackpool
'During pregnancy, birth and the early years much of our attention is centred on mother and baby, but we shouldn’t lose sight of the important contribution that fathers can make or the challenges they face'
Merle Davies, Director of Blackpool Better Start
Judith Rees, Director of For Baby's Sake, and Lee Cooper, Men's Practitioner, joined Blackpool's Talking Dads Conference, giving the keynote address along with Hilary Kennedy (AVIGuk – Association of VIG Practitioners UK) and Dr Jill Domoney from King's College London. The event focussed on the important role that dads play in child development and the impact of mental health issues in fatherhood. The conference also gave us the opportunity to showcase the innovative engagement work that we are currently offering to our dads in Blackpool.
