For Baby’s Sake
For Baby's Sake aims to bring an end to domestic abuse and give babies the best possible start in life. It is the UK’s first whole family change programme which starts in pregnancy, continues until the baby is aged two and works with both mother and father, whether or not they are a couple when they join the programme or subsequently.

For Baby's Sake works
Domestic abuse has a devastating ripple effect across families, generations and society. For Baby’s Sake offers a new way genuinely to break the cycle. Rolling it out requires pioneering partners, including local councils, philanthropists and charitable trusts, as well as ambassadors who can use their voice and influence to champion the cause. Together, we can empower families to change their life chances and give babies the best start in life.

We have commissioned an independent, four-year evaluation from King’s College London (2015-2019). The final report will be published early in 2020. Together with King’s College London, we have already started to share their experience of the evaluation and interim findings. The aim of the evaluation has been to provide external data on the innovation within For Baby’s Sake and how the programme has been operating over the prototype period. The evaluation includes quantitative and qualitative data, including feedback from families, practitioners and stakeholders. The evaluation will inform the ongoing development and future evaluation of For Baby’s Sake.
